8 Easy Ways To Get Painless Waxing

Women can do anything for clear and hair-free skin. But getting rid of the hair is not that easy. There are several options, having waxing the most common one. The reason why waxing is preferred over other methods is that it leaves you with smoother and beautiful skin. The only thing which can stop you from going for waxing is the pain. Let’s find out a solution to make it pain free.

Ways To Get Painless Waxing

You don’t like those extra hairs on your skin, isn’t it? Well, no one like them and crave for flawless skin. For this, a number of treatments, including waxing, shaving, laser treatment and many more are known to show amazing results. But, when it comes to popularity, there is only one to top this list.

Yes, You Guessed It Right, It Is Waxing.

Using the hot wax to pull off the excess of hair from year skin is an old and reliable method. Undoubtedly, it works well but yes, it is painful. And if you are among those, who have been avoiding waxing just for the reason that it causes pain, here are some tips for you to make it painless. Have a look:

1. Escape The Cup Of Coffee: You love it. But for the day you are going for waxing, say ‘no’ to your coffee.

Although coffee is considered to be good for your skin, yet when it is wax time, avoiding it is the right choice. The reason being, stimulants present in coffee can make your skin extra sensitive. Hence, when you get it done, it will cause more pain.

2. Exfoliate Before: If you really wish to make your skin beautiful and clean, before waxing the process of exfoliation can help.

You can do it at home easily. Start two days before with a body scrub so that there isn’t any extra dry and dead skin hanging. This will cause your skin to become lose and hairs can be pulled out easily.

3. Numbing Solutions Can Work: Using ice cubes to numb the area before waxing is not so good idea.

It will simply tighten your skin and close the pores, which in turn will make waxing much more difficult. Numbing is the right solution only if you use a right product. Try for some natural numbing cream, which can cause numbing sensation for few hours and the process can be completed.

4. A Warm Water Bath: Bathing before waxing is highly advisable. This clears of any dirt and dust particles settled on your skin.

But, if you have time and want to make your waxing painless, soaking your body in a warm bath for about 30 minutes can be a great option. Remember, you need to do this before the appointment. It simple opens up your pores, soften the hair and make your waxing easier.

5. Reducing Acidity: Presence of acidic elements in your body can turn your waxing painful.

Hence, if you are smoking and/ or a regular caffeine or alcohol consumer, you habit can create a lot of acid in the body. Avoid it at the day you are going to your parlor.  Actually acidity is directly proportional to skin's sensitivity. Hence, in order to make your skin less sensitive, avoid acidic things.

6. Check The Hair For Light Length: Are your hair too short that wax won’t be able to pull the hair or too long that they need to be trimmed first?

For proper waxing, you need to first learn about the right length of hair while you get them waxed. Make sure the hair is about 1/4 inch long. If it is more or less, there are higher chances of pain.

7. No Shaving: Waxing is a perfect way to get wonderful skin.

Hence, you hardly need to switch any other option. In case you are shaving your hair, make sure that at least three weeks prior to waxing you stop practicing any other technique. The reason being shaving can make your hair more resistant to wax.

8. Astringent or Toner - You Don’t Need Them: You can use a scrub to lose the follicle.

But make sure that you don’t use a toner the day you are going for waxing. It will tighten the pores, making it harder to hold on the hair follicle.

Follow these essential tips and go for pain-free waxing!

The Killing Pain Of Brazilian Waxing

Bikini wax or the Brazilian wax has gained much popularity among women over the last few years. From young teenagers to 60 year old woman, everybody now visits the salon often for getting the painful bikini wax. It has become more a routine and a usual thing now.
This is an experience of a 20-year old girl in Melbourne, Australia, who almost came back from her death bed due to a Brazilian wax session. It went to such an extreme condition that she had to be admitted to an emergency room post two weeks the Brazilian wax.

The author of journal of Clinical Infectious Diseases said "Our case is notable, because it illustrates the infectious risks of pubic hair removal in a patient with diabetes," the authors concluded. "The beauty industry is growing at an unprecedented rate and more invasive and potentially harmful procedures are increasingly available."
Otherwise, also it is recommended that people who have a weak immune system that includes patients of diabetes, HIV should follow such beauty treatments. They should first consult the doctor if they want to.

What worsened her condition?

Although the Brazilian wax was performed by a trainee beauty therapist still the patient underwent great pain and even was bleeding during the procedure. Finally, when she was taken to the hospital, it was found that she is a patient of type 1 diabetes for which she was not even taking any precautionary steps.
The Brazilian wax session resulted into high fever, agonizing pain and swelling of her genitalia and also few rashes at her chest and neck.
It made it difficult for the doctors to examine her situation due to the excruciating pain she had.
Somehow the doctors managed to take her blood samples and came out with the result that she is infected with the life-threatening bacteria, Streptococcus pyogenes.
The reason of her such a situation was clear now. Despite a weekend immune system she chose a hot-wax session.  Finally, the complete examination revealed that she had is also infected with herpes.
She was treated for 10 days in the hospital with antibiotics and other powerful drugs that brought her back to normal condition.

Lessons not learnt

Around six months later, when her condition was totally normal she again tried to shave off her pubic hair. Subsequently, she developed a reappearance of herpes and multiple skin infections.
She was gifted with life again but still she was keen to remove her pubic hair.
This is a great lesson for all those people who are obsessed with the beauty treatments but have a weak immune system.
Sometimes the salons do not use sterilized equipments which become easy source to spread hepatitis.
The beauty therapists must take care that they maintain proper hygiene and use sterile devices especially for beauty treatments that involve skin touch at most vulnerable parts of body to catch infection.

And also people must check whether a beauty salon they are visiting  is reputed and whether they are maintaining proper hygiene standards or not.

How to Get Over a Brazilian Wax without Pain

Well it really takes guts to get to the parlour and get yourself fully cleaned down there. Many think, some book an appointment but only few make it to the final day for their Brazilian wax.
Brazilian wax demands years of waxing and a bikini wax session before you finally can dare to go for a Brazilian wax.
But on a serious note there are ways by which you can have a painless Brazilian wax with the help of some simple steps. Everything else will be taken care of by your aesthetician who will make sure you get a perfect bikini wax experience.

Following are some points by which you can reduce the pain experienced during the bikini wax.

1.   Exfoliate your skin before waxing- removes dead cells
You should always exfoliate your skin a night before wax or few hours before. This will make your skin rid of the dead cells which hold the hair back.
Exfoliating would certainly help in pulling out hair without much effort. A good body scrub would fulfill the purpose.
2.   Use a good numbing cream-will reduce pain
Many people have the notion that an ice pack is a good option to make the skin insensitive towards the pain .But indeed is not true. Applying ice before the wax will close all the pores and would make it difficult for hair to be pulled out.
Applying a numbing cream is rather a suitable option because it would not interfere with the skin pores and also increase your tolerance towards the pain.
Dr. Numb’s cream is one of the best numbing creams which is safe to use. It contains lidocaine only in 5%amount which has been prescribed as harmless by FDA for dermatological purposes.
3.   Grow your hair-makes waxing easier
Before you schedule your appointment for Brazilian wax make sure your hair are ¼ inch long. People think that shorter hair is easy to remove but that’s not true indeed. Very short hair will result into a more painful experience.
4.   Don’t shave-it only makes hair harder
Even if you have been shaving since long to remove hair, stop this practice at least two-three weeks prior to wax. Shaving only makes your hair grow harder followed by a painful wax session.
Since the skin of your bikini area is already very delicate that even a little pull can take off the skin from that area. So, it’s good not to shave your skin.
5.   Take a warm water bath- opens the pores
This is something not possible every time you go for your wax session. But if possible you can choose to take a warm water bath 20 minutes before the waxing. This will open up the closed pores due to sweat or dust and will make it less painful to pull out the hair.
6.   Take an aspirin or advil-makes the pain bearable
Taking a painkiller would only increase your tolerance towards the pain. Especially if you are too sensitive towards pain then you should not miss the painkiller dose.

7.   Don’t take alcohol, It will only worsen the pain
You feel two shots down of vodka and the pain is all gone? No, certainly not. Never, ever try this. Alcohol will only increase sensitivity and acidity of your body. So, better is avoiding it few hours before your wax.
Drink enough of water to hydrate your body and skin.
8.   Don’t wax if your skin is sun burnt-increases irritation
If your skin has been exposed to sun too much then let it get back to normal conditions. Don’t get waxed on the burnt skin itself.
9.   Keep breathing-relieves pain
Don’t hold your breath while the strip is being removed. This only tightens your skin and makes it more painful for you.
Instead take normal long deep breaths to keep the skin in a loose condition to avoid unnecessary pain.
10.  Coughing is a great idea-distracts you from pain
Well it might have come in somebody’s mind who must be too sensitive towards pain.
When you know it’s the time for the wax to be removed then just start coughing. This may seem very weird to your waxer but will distract you from the pain.
11.  Don’t be embarrassed- your aesthetician has seen it all before

Don’t feel shy in front of your waxer as she already knows it all. Moreover she is a professional and is more focused on removing your hair rather than making you feel conscious.
