How to Get Over a Brazilian Wax without Pain

Well it really takes guts to get to the parlour and get yourself fully cleaned down there. Many think, some book an appointment but only few make it to the final day for their Brazilian wax.
Brazilian wax demands years of waxing and a bikini wax session before you finally can dare to go for a Brazilian wax.
But on a serious note there are ways by which you can have a painless Brazilian wax with the help of some simple steps. Everything else will be taken care of by your aesthetician who will make sure you get a perfect bikini wax experience.

Following are some points by which you can reduce the pain experienced during the bikini wax.

1.   Exfoliate your skin before waxing- removes dead cells
You should always exfoliate your skin a night before wax or few hours before. This will make your skin rid of the dead cells which hold the hair back.
Exfoliating would certainly help in pulling out hair without much effort. A good body scrub would fulfill the purpose.
2.   Use a good numbing cream-will reduce pain
Many people have the notion that an ice pack is a good option to make the skin insensitive towards the pain .But indeed is not true. Applying ice before the wax will close all the pores and would make it difficult for hair to be pulled out.
Applying a numbing cream is rather a suitable option because it would not interfere with the skin pores and also increase your tolerance towards the pain.
Dr. Numb’s cream is one of the best numbing creams which is safe to use. It contains lidocaine only in 5%amount which has been prescribed as harmless by FDA for dermatological purposes.
3.   Grow your hair-makes waxing easier
Before you schedule your appointment for Brazilian wax make sure your hair are ¼ inch long. People think that shorter hair is easy to remove but that’s not true indeed. Very short hair will result into a more painful experience.
4.   Don’t shave-it only makes hair harder
Even if you have been shaving since long to remove hair, stop this practice at least two-three weeks prior to wax. Shaving only makes your hair grow harder followed by a painful wax session.
Since the skin of your bikini area is already very delicate that even a little pull can take off the skin from that area. So, it’s good not to shave your skin.
5.   Take a warm water bath- opens the pores
This is something not possible every time you go for your wax session. But if possible you can choose to take a warm water bath 20 minutes before the waxing. This will open up the closed pores due to sweat or dust and will make it less painful to pull out the hair.
6.   Take an aspirin or advil-makes the pain bearable
Taking a painkiller would only increase your tolerance towards the pain. Especially if you are too sensitive towards pain then you should not miss the painkiller dose.

7.   Don’t take alcohol, It will only worsen the pain
You feel two shots down of vodka and the pain is all gone? No, certainly not. Never, ever try this. Alcohol will only increase sensitivity and acidity of your body. So, better is avoiding it few hours before your wax.
Drink enough of water to hydrate your body and skin.
8.   Don’t wax if your skin is sun burnt-increases irritation
If your skin has been exposed to sun too much then let it get back to normal conditions. Don’t get waxed on the burnt skin itself.
9.   Keep breathing-relieves pain
Don’t hold your breath while the strip is being removed. This only tightens your skin and makes it more painful for you.
Instead take normal long deep breaths to keep the skin in a loose condition to avoid unnecessary pain.
10.  Coughing is a great idea-distracts you from pain
Well it might have come in somebody’s mind who must be too sensitive towards pain.
When you know it’s the time for the wax to be removed then just start coughing. This may seem very weird to your waxer but will distract you from the pain.
11.  Don’t be embarrassed- your aesthetician has seen it all before

Don’t feel shy in front of your waxer as she already knows it all. Moreover she is a professional and is more focused on removing your hair rather than making you feel conscious.

My First Tattoo Journey- Horror to Happiness

Summary: Getting a tattoo is not as easy as it appears. Undoubtedly, it looks beautiful, but it causes pain. If you are planning to get one for the first time, it is better you learn few things in advance. May be this story help proves to be helpful. Read on.
‘I want to get a tattoo done’… if this is the latest thing in your mind, then let me tell you, it is not simple at all. There is a lot that you need to prepare for, besides the design or words you want to get tattooed. As far my experience is concerned it was a true journey from horror to happiness.
My First Tattoo

How it started?
In last summer, one of my friend got her third tattoo done on her back. It was really beautiful. Thus, I decided to go for one. Though I had been contemplating it for a long time, yet the fear of pain and after complications always forced me to step backward. Moreover, I just wanted to be 100% sure before I step in.

What I researched?
Well, I took an ample amount of time to complete my research. It began with searching a good ink for my skin, a perfect design and above all, a safe and ideal place to get it done. For this I did a lot search online and selected 6 top tattoo parlors in the city. Visiting them personally, I enquired about every minute things, including the cost, ink quality, time taken, after aid and lots more. Finally, I was satisfied with one of them. However, the biggest question, which ‘design’ to be tattooed, was still pondering. With combined efforts of their team and my vision, we finalized a design, which was really classy.
Now, I booked up a time slot for the next week and waited for the final day to arrive!

How it happened?
Saying that I was ‘ok’, will not be fair. I was horrified, as I know I am never good with pain. And I was told by a friend that it causes severe pain. With all my heart I went there and met the tattoo artist. It hardly took him five minutes to anticipate my terror. He asked me to drink water and relax for a while. He then asked me whether I was comfortable or not. To which I replied honestly, saying that I am not fine. I told him that my biggest fear was not being able to handle the pain. And I don’t want to quit half-way through.
He was really generous and showed me the final design he had drawn up. At that very moment, I was determined to have it. But, with a little fear of pain. For this, he advised me to go for Dr. Numb. Just like you I had many question, like:

What is Dr. Numb?
To this he answered that, it is a water-based numbing cream, which they have been using for years. Especially, for those who cannot tolerate pain at all. Having the most appropriate amount of Lindane, Dr. Numb is the only solution trusted by tattoo artists for big and small art.
It causes numbness for 3 to 4 hours, so that the process is carried out easily and safely. I was pleased with the idea.

What next?
He applied Dr. Numb and soon my skin was numb. He started with the outline first and then worked with the needle on my back to settle down the design. Finally, I got it in real and I was very happy!
