Going for Waxing! Here Are Some Tips

It was my first experience with the bikini wax and like every other girl, I was too embarrassed to expose my very personal space in front of the aesthetician and also scared of the pain. I have never been conscious so much in my life before and it is obvious as it’s not easy to lie down in front of a stranger and get every bit of your hair completely removed from your skin.
But my experience was not as awful as I thought it to be. And the credit goes to Dr numb’s cream. I could feel no pain except for some super-sensitive areas. The numbing cream was so effective that I easily went through the complete bikini session in just no time.

Few important things to be kept in mind before you go for Bikini wax:

·        1. Don’t go for bikini wax if you one of the following health conditions
If you are diabetic patient, don’t experiment with bikini wax as this can be dangerous for you.
Even people with any sort of skin allergy should also stay away from bikini wax till their skin doesn’t get back to normal.
If you take Retinol or Accutane then also bikini wax session is not meant for you.
In any case if you schedule your appointment for bikini wax, then do consult your doctor once and follow accordingly.

·        2. Pain is a big consideration
This is something you cannot ignore especially if it is your first time. So, it’s always advisable not to book your dates while you are menstruating as the body is already sensitive during this time. Even pregnant women should also not go for bikini wax as it would be nothing but a painful experience for them.
And people who are very sensitive towards pain can ask the aestheticians to make use of numbing creams, if they are not using it. And also make sure your waxer has enough of experience as she knows how to make it less painful for you.

·         3. Ensure your hair have the right length
Some people think that shorter hair will be easier to pull without causing any pain but this is not the case. Rather, shorter hair is hard to remove as compared to hair grown to about ¼ to ½ inch.
Also do not shave them immediately before the bikini wax session. Let them just grow at their own pace and if they are too long, your aesthetician will automatically trim them for the desired length for bikini wax.

·         4. Avoid swimming
This is to be followed before and after the bikini wax session. It is always recommended to exfoliate your skin before your bikini wax session. Avoid all kinds of muscular exercises from swimming to gym.
Post your bikini wax session you can use ice so that the redness and itching goes away quickly.

·         5. Decide for the clothing
Some people are comfortable in lying complete bare and getting their hair removed. But some are conscious of exposing themselves and being noticed even during the wax. So, for such people a paper thong is best to insert at the opening and feel comfortable during the wax.

If you are wearing any piece of cloth, underwear or skirts then just make sure it is washable easily later to clean the wax instead of the one which needs dry cleaning.

At last, talk clearly to your anesthetician if you have doubts or are not comfortable. She will guide you in the best way and bring you at ease before the final date arrives. Also she will guide the various positions in which waxing can be less painful. She will guide you on how to care for your skin after the wax session.
